Brian O' Connor, MAI, CRE

Partner & Co-Founder

Brian has over thirty years of experience as a Market Analyst and Fee Appraiser. His company, O'Connor Consulting Group (OCG) is an industry leader in performing complex market and feasibility studies and appraisal reports.  Brian offers unique and deep expertise concentrated on evaluating local economic conditions and forecasting future demand for multifamily housing and commercial space and has been the principal author of the Seattle Metropolitan Area Apartment Market Report since 1986.  The balance of his appraisal work is concentrated on commercial mixed-use and urban residential apartment and condominium buildings, including HUD studies and special use properties such as Senior Housing in Seattle and Bellevue, Washington.  His firm frequently performs market studies for all commercial real estate product types, including marinas, retail and office.  Brian holds a Bachelor's Degree and two years of graduate studies in Economic Geography from the University of Washington.  Brian received his MAI designation in May 1996, is certified as a general real estate appraiser for the state of Washington and was inducted as a member of the Counselors of Real Estate (CRE) in 2014. Brian has been qualified as an expert witness concerning both apartments and condominiums for purposes of construction defects and market feasibility issues.  He is widely recognized as one of the leading analysts for Downtown Multi-Family Development.  Clients include major local and national developers, property management companies, pension funds, life companies and major property owners.

Candice Chevaillier, CCIM

Partner & Co-Founder

Candice Chevaillier brings 15 years of commercial real estate investment sales experience in Seattle’s In-City Apartment market. Leveraging a Master’s level education in Global Marketing Communications and Advertising, Candice began her professional career in management consulting for Andersen Consulting, Accenture, and Avanade.  She entered into commercial real estate investment brokerage in 2003, working from the ground up in various firms including Marcus & Millichap, The Foundation Group, and Coast Sperry Van Ness.  
 
In 2016, she founded SVN Whitecap Commercial Real Estate, combining deep local expertise with the reach of a strong national brand.  Over the course of her career, she had sold over $134M worth of commercial investment real estate, including 718 units across 90 buildings in the Seattle area.  She is on the Board of Directors for both the Commercial Broker’s Association (CBA) and the Rental Housing Association (RHA) and is active in the local Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Institute as well as the Commercial Real Estate Women’s (CREW) network.  She has a passion for travel and adventure with her husband and two young sons and has an intense work hard / play hard attitude.

Jim Bowles, NAIOP, SIOR

Partner & Co-Founder

Jim is the President | Principal of Lee & Associates Commercial Real Estate Services for the state of Washington. Lee & Associates is the nation’s largest broker-owned and operated organization with 57 offices throughout the country. Over the past 39 years, Jim Bowles has successfully built and/or managed 3 of the 4 largest Commercial Real Estate companies in the Puget Sound region.  

From 2001 through 2014, Jim served as CBRE’s Senior Managing Director for the State of Washington. In that capacity, he led the company’s growth to become the largest Commercial Real Estate services team ever, comprised of over 1200 real estate professionals, delivering a full range of services to owners and users of commercial real estate. Previous to that, Jim led Cushman & Wakefield’s regional offices (3 years) and Collier’s Northwest regional offices (10 years). 

A lifelong Seattle area resident and graduate of the University of Washington, Jim brings nearly 40 years of experience and local community involvement to the commercial real estate services business. He is currently involved with NAIOP, Rotary International, Downtown Seattle Association, SIOR (past Board Member), Bellevue Chamber of Commerce, Commercial Broker’s Association (Board Member), and the University of Washington's Runstad Center for Commercial Real Estate (Board Member).
